When we were sourcing a coffee machine for our studio, we invested a lot of time reviewing a number of coffee machines.  We found we couldn’t go past the ECM Giotto, an Italian brand that is recognised throughout the world. The company’s philosophy is simply ‘ultimate performance’. They achieve this through a singular focus on manufacturing quality, design and state of the art technology. ECM coffee machines are manufactured using the finest brass, copper and stainless steel and everything leads towards the highest quality and consistency in producing the perfect cup of coffee.

Just as a Luxury Portraits photo shoot can more accurately be described as an unforgettable romantic adventure, in the same way, a coffee produced from our ECM Giotto machine goes far beyond expectations. With our ‘Rolls Royce’ of coffee machines, we’re able to produce coffee for our clients which engages all the senses – the flavour, texture, rich aroma, body and ‘crema’. As they say “Espresso is to Italy, what champagne is to France”. We figure the Italians know a thing or two about coffee!

We love serving this beautifully rich aromatic coffee to our clients – it really sets the scene. We also love the story behind the ECM Giotto. In the early 1990s, Ennio Berti, an expresso machine engineer, resigned from one of Italy’s biggest expresso machine manufacturing companies. Believing he could create a better cup of coffee, he turned the manufacturing process upside down by starting with the perfect cup of expresso coffee, then working backwards.

We won’t go into the technical details, but suffice to say that while his competition was cutting costs by using less expensive parts, Ennio Berti insisted on the finest commercial grade components. The ECM Giotto is part of this tradition and is now regarded worldwide by coffee lovers as a bit of an icon.
