Fun, laughter and rekindled love at Luxury Portraits …Donna and Brian’s Story

Donna describes the shoot with her husband Brian as a wonderful experience filled with fun, laughter, music and lots of cuddles.

Our overriding objective is to offer our clients an experience that goes far beyond a photo shoot, so we’re thrilled when we learn that one of our couples has come away from their shoot not just raving about their photos – but also about their relationship.

Donna describes the shoot with her husband Brian as a wonderful experience filled with fun, laughter, music and lots of cuddles.

She also told us she believed the shoot sparked up the fire in their relationship to the extent that she returned home feeling like she did on the day they got married.

Happy, fun moment between Donna and Brian

Married for 8 years, the last few years have been tough for the couple with Donna developing a debilitating back condition and Brian losing his mother.

The stress had taken its toll, and Donna said Brian had withdrawn a little and become quiet.

When Donna won our competition on Facebook, she said she was a little apprehensive and Brian was not at all sure about the whole thing!

Brian had never liked getting his photo taken and in most photos, his eyes were shut and he would not be smiling.

Donna said that everything was explained really well to her prior to the shoot and that any remaining nervousness almost immediately dissipated as soon as they met Julie. Donna said the whole experience was wonderful “Julie just made us feel relaxed straight away.

The love, the affection and tenderness, the laughter and giggling during the shoot was amazing. Brian kissed me at one point and we were so engrossed in each other we forgot Julie was there!  “Brian has never kissed me like that in front of anyone before”.

And I’ve got to thank Julie because she’s the only photographer to have managed to take a great photo of Brian. You should see him.  He looks so handsome – his eyes are glowing and he has a huge smile on his face,” said Donna.

Romantic

Donna also said – and this is the part we’re most proud of – that the shoot rekindled their love.

Donna explained “It has been a tough few years.

I am in constant pain from my back and Brian not only works full time, he supports me by doing all the housework and helping me shower. His mother passed away a few years ago and he’s been quiet ever since. It’s a huge load for anyone.

The shoot with Julie just seemed to blow all of our stress away.

The fire lit up in us – something just exploded.

The love I felt coming from Brian half way through the shoot was just incredible.

Before the shoot, Brian would hold my hand but wouldn’t really kiss me in public but now he does – with a lot of love and affection.

Now he walks tall holding my hands or linking arms – it’s so different now.

We’re acting like we did when we were first married. It has really set our love in concrete.

Thank you Julie for helping us rekindle the flame between us!”

Donna and Brian love their photos – Donna said when she saw the beautiful image of Brian with her name tattooed on his left forearm she cried. She said she’s so impressed with how Julie approached the shoot – which felt nothing like the other photography shoots she’d experienced.

“God gives certain people gifts and Julie is just an exceptional photographer.

She’s so gentle and considerate – the whole time she kept asking how my back was and seemed genuinely concerned to make me as comfortable as possible.

I can’t speak highly enough about Julie – we’ll always treasure our artworks and the experience as a whole.

All I can say is that a photo shoot with Julie is far more than just a photo shoot – you come out changed as a couple, for the better.”
